Founder
I was born in New York but raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and proudly considers myself a G.R.I.T.S. — a Girl Raised in the South. The daughter of a Cypriot-Greek father and an American mother, I grew up embracing a rich multicultural background which sparked my curiosity about people and cultures. This passion led me to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Georgia State University.
In her early adulthood, I spent many years working with horses, dogs, and the people who love them. After the economic crash of 2008 dramatically changed my life, I decided to follow my calling to help others and returned to school to earn my Master of Social Work from the University of New England.
I began my social work career supporting individuals struggling with substance use and mental health challenges. Later, I worked as a medical social worker, helping elderly and disabled individuals access the care and resources they needed to remain safely and independently in their homes.
In 2018, I transitioned into private practice, where I specialize in trauma, culturally responsive care, women’s issues, and chronic illness.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy hiking with my Rottweiler, Bubba, exploring small towns, hunting for hidden treasures, and spending time with friends and family.
Clients often describe me as straightforward, trustworthy, reliable, and easy to talk to. I aim to create an environment where you feel safe being honest and open about what you’re experiencing. I would describe myself as welcoming, down-to-earth, and someone who believes that humor and authenticity can be powerful parts of the healing process.
I am licensed to provide therapy for clients located in Illinois, Georgia, and Massachusetts.
